I purchased this for a friend whose never used one in his life. I think it took less than ten minutes from out of the box and using the manual with explanations on how how to utilise the simple controls and he was fine.
If he can use it, so can you.

Basic microwave of adequate build quality. It is the same model as you will find from most vendors including "value" models from the supermarkets. Its just the styling of the front panel is different. Heats very well but the unit gives off a smell which should subside after the first use and has not quite disappeared after several weeks use. Unless you ventilate the room well the plasticky/phenolic smell is quite unpleasant. No problem with timer, but for many items 700w is too powerful and you get better results if you turn the microwave power down. Many microwave users seem to be resistant to doing this.

Received the mini oven on time.Disappointed with the wire rack provided ; there was no grill pan, oven quite slow too heat up ; need to use timer in order to start oven. There are cheaper ovens around which supply grill pan and have more features

I am extremely pleased with my new De'Longhi EO1200W Mini Oven with Pizza Bulge, l.4kw.
For a portable oven it is extremely versatile, grills, roasts, bakes and warms plates on top, as my Aga is off for the summer it is a good substitute. Perfect for finishing off an omlette under the grill to make it nice and fluffy and sponges are beautiful.

We purchased this microwave oven to mainly do jacket potatoes and heat up the odd thing in the winter. I'm not a big fan of microwaves and having mananaged without one for about four years, we didn't want or need to splash out on a expensive model to only use it very infrequently. As it happens, we have turned out to use it a bit more than we thought - its great for softening potatoes and other veg before putting them to roast in the oven, cutting down the time and the energy required. The facilities are certainly more than we would ever use, but may get around to it slowly. It actually seems to be more efficient and reliable than the last more expensive model we had and it certainly sturdier. What is really surprising for the modest price of it is how fantastic it looks! We have have had guests go off and buy one afterwards, simply because they were impressed at how sexy it looks. The black casing does add an expensive air to the kitchen and its much, much easier to keep clean, and far less clinical and hard looking. I would say that for the money this is an excellantly designed product, for both looks and operation it would be hard to beat, even at a much higher price.

Bought this in November to replace my Proline which had rendered good and faithful service for over twenty years, but which had been showing the signs of old age, slowing down gradually over the last few years. The Daewoo arrived a couple of days after I ordered it - very good service. Setting it up was a breeze, and within a couple of minutes we were ready to go. I bought it to go with my new monochrome kitchen - lots of black units, and it fits in perfectly and looks very stylish and modern. I use a microwave mostly for reheating meals and defrosting, so this just fitted the bill for me. It has a 23 litre capacity, however it has a small footprint and sits unobtrusively in my kitchen. One slight annoyance is that when it has finished cooking it beeps to let you know and then repeats the beep at 30 second intervals until the door is opened, but it is only a very minor gripe. In operation it is very quiet and cooks food quickly and efficiently, and all in all is an excellent machine which I would recommend.

    Customer Reviews

Bought this product in a frenzied hurry purely on the strength of the reviews here - due to my panasonic one rather nicely packing in by blowing half the house fuses only weeks after the 1yr guarantee expired AND only one week before Christmas! As this was the third panasonic in just under 4 years to pack in just out of guarantee we were determined to change manufacturer. So back to Sharp - the manufacturer of the first microwave we ever owned many many years ago and oh boy have we struck gold.
This is a large combi microwave which just oozes quality and is a dream to use. The wattage of our panasonic was 1000 and although the specification for this one is 900 this actually cooks a lot quicker and the only reason I can come up with is the 'jet' function. We ordered on Thursday afternoon at approximately 4pm on free supersaver delivery (although I think this was automatically upgraded) because of Christmas, and it arrived the day after at approximately 2pm - astounding service from Amazon/Courier.
I used it every day up to and including Christmas Day when it coped admirably by cooking our full Christmas dinner including a 13.5kg turkey. The main oven was only on to keep things warm. Although most of the functions it does I already used in my previous machine a couple of things I have never had before which I think are excellent 1) the two metal racks that are exactly the same as those from a normal oven so you can use the jet convection element just like a normal oven and fit loads into the large 40L capacity over two levels. I tried it with bread rolls, biscuits and yorkshire puds and the results were excellent. 2) the ceramic turntable - I was very dubious about keeping this clean because it's white, but a couple of weeks down the road and having been used at least once a day (sometimes three) there isn't a mark on it. One other thing worth mentioning is that you can pre-programme up to three different cooking combinations ie full micro 20mins followed by combi micro/convection 25mins followed by grill/micro 55mins etc. You can use this feature with any combination of cooking/time.
I am extremely happy with this purchase and I can honestly say that I think without a doubt this could easily replace my normal cooker oven. Finally a big thanks to all who took time out to give concise reviews of the machine.

I bought my new Sharp Combination Microwave to replace one I had had for about ten years and which had been great apart from the LCD display which had failed. The cooker still worked but couldn't be used for combi cooking as you could not see what you had keyed in. Anyway, I love my new one and here's a tip, you can turn off the LCD display and use the "energy save mode" where the display only comes on when you want to use it instead of displaying the time constantly. I am hoping will make it last longer. My favourite thing about my new one is the grill which is much superior to the old one. Also, it has slide-in shelves as well as turntable ones, which makes it even more versatile. If you get one of these wonderful machines, you must try the auto-cook roast chicken - just enter the weight and set it going - takes about 45 minutes for a medium sized chicken - and it comes out all golden, juicy and perfect - even the cheapie ones. All in all, an excellent product and highly recommended. Be aware, though, that it is quite a large piece of equipment and is very heavy.
